RST to deliver NH90 Maintenance Training Rig to Nato Helicopter Management Agency

Reiser Simulation and Training GmbH (RST) was contracted by NATO Helicopter Management Agency (NAHEMA) for the delivery of a NH90 NTH Maintenance Training Rig

RST was contracted by NAHEMA for the development and production of a NH90 NTH Maintenance Training Rig (MTR). The MTR is an exact, non-flying replica of the German NH90 NTH “Sea Lion” and will be used by maintenance and onboard technical personnel for training on both mechanical and avionics systems and components of the popular rotorcraft. More than 1000 maintenance tasks are to be replicated (e.g. removal, repair and installation of serviceable parts). Furthermore, the first time ever a fully functional cockpit allows maintenance training on avionics, electrical system and flight control system. These and more features will be fully integrated into the Maintenance Trainer.

By using this Maintenance Training approach crews get more access to hands on training without having to tie up a real helicopter what ensures highest training quality while reducing the acquisition and life-cycle cost significantly.
