H145 D3 XR-SIM Nominated for Bavarian Innovation Award 2026

Berg, Germany, 30 March 2026

Reiser Simulation and Training GmbH (REISER) today confirmed that its H145 D3 XR Simulator has successfully received full qualification by the German Federal Aviation Office (Luftfahrt-Bundesamt, LBA) under European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) standards. The mixed-reality simulator, which attracted strong industry interest when it was first presented to public has now been qualified as a Flight Training Device Level 3 (FTD-3).

Notably, the H145 D3 XR Simulator is the first to combine mixed-reality visuals with a fully haptic cockpit, Multi Crew Coordination (MCC) and roll-on/roll-off modular technology – a unique design now fully validated by regulators.

REISER’s innovation strength is also reflected beyond certification: the company’s XR-SIM has been nominated for the Bavarian Innovation Award 2026. The nomination follows a successful first-stage evaluation, in which the system demonstrated strong alignment with the award’s criteria.

The Bavarian Innovation Award is presented by the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, together with the Bavarian Chambers of Industry and Commerce and the Chambers of Crafts. Winners are expected to be announced in autumn 2026.

“Achieving full certification of our H145 D3 XR Simulator makes the entire REISER team proud,” said Martin Keil, Chief Technology Officer at Reiser Simulation and Training. “We are especially pleased to deliver a mixed-reality training device that is, thanks to REISER’s double role as training device manufacturer and operator, certified by the LBA right out of the factory. With this in-house qualification, our customers can start training shortly after delivery and authority permission after relocation.”
